How to Find Us

Below are directions to Whitcliffe Mount from the motorway (nearby) and from Cleckheaton town centre.

From the motorway network (M62)

  • Leave the M62 at junction 26 following exit signs for the A638 (Dewsbury & Cleckheaton).
  • Once “below” the motorway on the Chain Bar roundabout take the A638 (Dewsbury & Cleckheaton) heading south.
  • After approxiamilty ¼ mile turn right at the traffic lights into Whitchapel Road.
  • Follow Whitchapel Road (uphill) for approximately ½ mile to the “T” junction at the top.
  • Turn left and the school can be seen in front of you.
  • Car parking is at a premium.
    The first entry gives access to the Sports Centre car park. The second entry (black gates) gives access to the smaller car park and the main entrance to the school. These are usually two free visitor’s parking spaces near the ramp but otherwise parking here can be difficult.

From Cleckheaton Town Centre

  • Follow the A638 (signposted as Bradford) in a northerly direction.
  • Approximately ¼ mile north of the town centre (and after a bend) the school is signposted – turn left here into Whitcliffe Road.
  • Follow Whitcliffe Road uphill (approximately ½ mile) at which point it curves to the right and becomes Turnsteads Avenue.
  • Car parking is at a premium.
    The first entry (black gates) gives access to the smaller car park and the main entrance to the school. These are usually two free visitor’s parking spaces near the ramp but otherwise parking here can be difficult.

    The second entry gives access to the Sports Centre car park.
