Business & Enterprise

Our Business and Enterprise specialist status enables us to emphasise those work-related aspects of the curriculum which give relevance and meaning to young people as they prepare for their futures. At the same time we offer a broad and balanced curriculum in which all subjects are enhanced by the opportunities and resources created by our Business and Enterprise status.

Our mission as a Business and Enterprise College Through Business and Enterprise status Whitcliffe Mount will:-

- Enhance the achievement of all students by developing inspirational classrooms, using state of the art ICT facilities and promoting a culture of enterprise.
- Strive to develop innovative practice in Business and Enterprise Education.
- Work in partnership with the wider community including business and industry.
- Encourage more students into post-sixteen education.

We are "Striving for Excellence" through an innovative Enterprise Culture.
We are a successful comprehensive school meeting the diverse needs of individual students in our community and preparing them for the demands of a rapidly changing society.

We provide opportunities for our students to achieve excellence in all aspects of school life and the skills and knowledge to become valuable citizens.

We have created an environment that offers strong support to the individual and also emphasises the importance of developing care and concern for others.

A number of events are organised during the school year, many of which are annual events whilst some have so far been on-off events. We hold a Whole-School Careers Exhibition bi-annually to help students decide the direction they would like their future to take. Our events are continually evolving as changes take place in our students and the external environment.
