Investors In Pupils
We write with news of a new, exciting, national award that we hope to gain over the coming months with our Year 9 students called Investors In Pupils.
Simply put I.I.P. is based on 4 principles of good practice;
1 Commitment
2 Review
3 Action
4 Improvement
by pupils as evidenced through 5 key areas;
Learning
Behaviour
Attendance
Classroom Management
Induction
Within The I.I.P. Project students will develop a better understanding of the value of school, what roles/jobs different staff do, how the school budget is spent, the role of the school within the community and I.I.P. will also help students set class goals, individual targets and have a better, more positive understanding of their learning. So, following the recent voting of our Year 9 Student Council I.I.P. Form Representatives we now begin the long process of trying to gain this prestigious award! Please look at the school website and regular updates in the school newsletter to see how we are doing and what our Year 9s are up to!
