Students and staff at the college regularly take part in a range of
activities to raise money for local, regional, national and
international charities. Some of the activities include sponsored walks,
non-uniform days, coffee mornings, sponsored sporting events,
competitions, quiz nights, musical concerts, sponsored sleepovers,
bag-packing, car-washing and much much more!
The college supports
a number of major charitable initiatives on an annual basis, such as
Children in Need and Comic Relief; international charities such as
WaterAid and UNICEF; national charities such as MacMillan Cancer Care
and the British Heart Foundation and local and regional charities such
as Kirkwood Hospice and The Radio Aire Christmas Toy Appeal.
In
addition to these more regular campaigns, the college also supports
specific charities in memory of current and former students or staff who
have sadly passed away.
