The Spenborough Chamber of Trade & Commerce is made up of
representatives of businesses and organisations across Cleckheaton and
the Spen Valley. The group work very hard to promote the area in support
of trade and commerce and as a community.
One of the highlights of the year is always the Christmas Lights
Parade which marks the start of the festive season in the town. The
college has taken part in the parade for a number of years and our
students also design and build the Santa’s Grotto which hundreds of
local children enjoy visiting each year.
The college’s links with the Chamber of Trade & Commerce are much
broader than this single event and the school is represented at Chamber
meetings. Members of the Chamber regularly support activities in the
college, particularly in relation to our Business & Enterprise
specialist status.
