The department is taught in both classrooms and ICT facilities, to allow pupils to have a wide range of research material.

 Curriculum Outline - GCSE

Pupils will receive high quality teaching during their Health and Social Care lessons and will learn a range of skills and qualities that can be used across the curriculum. The department offers you the opportunity to have a greater understanding, of who you are, the changes that you will go through during your life and why you change. It allows you to investigate the interaction between people and how we communicate. Through studying Health and Social Care you will learn the knowledge and skills to continue your education in this sector and also follow a career path for yourself in medicine, teaching, childcare, youth work, family support, social work or veterinary jobs. You will be able to develop your research skills through the use of specific textbooks designed to complement the course, and through the use of the internet to support your research.
