Exam Equipment

It is important that all candidates have equipment with them on exam days

At a minimum candidates need for every exam;

  • A BLACK pen (Exam Boards will not accept any other colour of ink)
  • A pencil
  • An eraser
  • A pencil sharpener
  • A ruler
  • A calculator (unless instructions say this is not allowed e.g. one of the GCSE Maths papers). Case must be removed before entering the exam venue.

In addition, it is useful to have;

  • Pencil crayons
  • Spare items (especially pens)

Please remember you will be writing continuously so pens without sharp 'corners' and ones that have a good flow will make life more comfortable and easier for you so allowing you to concentrate on doing your best.

Pencil cases are not allowed into exam venues. Use a rubber band or clear plastic bag to carry your equipment.
