French

Welcome to the French Department.

We are a highly qualified, enthusiastic and specialist team, who are supported by a French assistant.  Our aim is to teach, using the latest technology via interactive whiteboards, blogs, podcasts, VOKI, videocasts, the internet, DVD's etc...

We have recently purchased new text books at both key stage 3 and 4.

Students come to our school in year 9, having a minimum of 2 years experience in French.  These students are setted according to ability.  French is optional at Key Stage 4 and we also offer A-Level French.

Each year staff are involved in an annual trip to France as well as a visit to Langtech Languages College in Wigan.  We are also involved with the Celebration of Languages in Kirklees Day and the Business Language Champions Project.

In recent years we have exceeded our targets and produced the best French results the school has ever had.
