At Key Stage 4 every lesson is focussed on the content for GCSE examinations, which are sat at the end of Year 11. All work completed will need to be recalled, revised and revisited over the two years so that students achieve their potential at the end of Year 11. Therefore we are sharing the key dates when examinations, progress tests and careers events are on, so you can support us in preparing your child for their examinations.
Are you struggling with revision? Or knowing the best technique for you? Click here for some extra help and ideas. Planning your time for revision is essential. There are two examples linked here for you to trial and see if you can manage your time for revision:
All students need to be in learning until the age of 18 and continue with GCSE English and Maths if they don’t achieve grade 4 by the end of year 11. Options after year 11:
•Full-time education - Do you know when all the College and Sixth Form open days and evenings?
•Apprenticeships - How can your favourite subjects lead to an apprenticeship? Click here to find out more.
