We are delighted to warmly invite you and your child to attend our Year 5 & 6 Open Evening on Wednesday 7
October 2026, from 5.00pm until 7.30pm.

Choosing a secondary school is a big decision. It is about much more than classrooms, subjects and results; it is about finding a school where your child will feel known, valued, safe and inspired to achieve their very best.

At Whitcliffe Mount Academy, we are incredibly proud of the school we are continuing to build. We are an
ambitious, inclusive and caring school community where we expect students to work hard, treat others with kindness and believe in what they can achieve.

Our vision for every student is captured in our three simple but powerful values:

Work hard • Model kindness • Aim high

These values are at the heart of school life. We want every young person who joins WMA to develop the
confidence, character, knowledge and skills they need to flourish — both during their time with us and in the future.

Our Open Evening is your opportunity to experience the school as it really is.

You will be able to:
• Hear from our Headteacher and senior leaders about our vision and ambitions for WMA
• Meet our dedicated and enthusiastic staff
• Speak to and hear from our current students about their experiences
• Explore our modern, purpose-built school building and facilities
• Discover more about our curriculum and the subjects your child will study
• Find out about our extensive range of clubs, activities, and trips
• Learn more about our approach to pastoral care, inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding

Headteacher presentations will take place at 5pm, 5:45pm and 6:30pm. You can book a place on any one of these sessions by clicking the link or scanning the QR code below.

We would love you to come and see for yourself what makes WMA such a special place to learn and grow.

Our ambition is simple: every student should leave WMA knowing that they have worked hard, modelled
kindness and aimed high — and believing that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We very much hope that you and your child will join us on Wednesday 7 October, between 5.00pm and 7.30pm, and we look forward to welcoming you to WMA.
